Members and permissions
Add teammates to your organisation from Team, and give each one a role: Admin, Manager or User.
Roles#
- Admin
- Full control, including members, organisation settings and billing.
- Manager
- Manages resources: projects, environments, secrets, resources, domains and organisation API keys. Can't manage members or billing.
- User
- Works with builds and deploys, but has a view-only dashboard for projects, environments and secrets.

Add a member#
Make sure they have an account
Teammates must sign up for DevLyft before they can be added. Otherwise you'll see No DevLyft user has that email. They need an account before they can be added.
Open Add member
Organisation→Team→Add member. Only admins see this button.
Enter their email and pick a role
Type the email they signed up with, choose Admin, Manager or User (the default), and add them. They get access straight away.
Change a role or remove a member#
On Team, admins can change a member's Role from the dropdown in their row, or choose Remove. You can't change your own role or remove yourself from your own row. Ask another admin to do it.
Managers can see the member list but can't change it. Users see Manager or admin access required in place of the list.
